Officer Suspended, Secret Journey, et al.

Philip R. Klein uncovers rampant corruption in the BISD police force:

This morning at 8:43 a.m. we got a series of emails from a cell phone friend of ours that send us pictures. We were kind of shocked at first - but then we got photos of a BISD patrol car smack in the middle of the city of Nederland. The unit was at a local muffler shop called "Duals Mufflers" at the corner of 23rd street and Nederland Avenue.

Our first thought? Well it must be a contract job on a cop car. But then two tips came in that said they saw a police officer drop off his private car and catch a ride in a patrol car.

The Review sent a staffer to the Duals Muffler shop with one of the pictures and got a plate. We ran the plate and got the name. From the name we verified the auto was an officer with the BISD police and it was his personal auto.

So we looked at the pictures and then made some calls. Sure enough - it was the officer - and his buddy in a BISD Patrol Car? Over 20 miles away in another city dropping off a personal car? On Government time? In a Government Police Car?

According to Philip Klein, we live in the MOST CORRUPT COUNTY IN TEXAS, but this is his best real evidence? A BISD cop getting his oil changed?

Much ado about nothing.

Note to local consumers: Don't shop in Nederland, lest some pervert takes your picture.

Note to local law enforcement: Philip Klein is not your friend.

Note to BISD: I hope you're all ashamed of yourselves. What's next, a lawsuit against Klein?  My advice: ignore him.

In my opinion, you owe this officer for two days of back-pay. With interest.

Note to Philip R. Klein: How about some before and after photos of Rhonda Dugas' house? I already saw the before and after photos of Memorial High School on Mike Aguilar's blog, Going Underground. To me, it looks like they're ready to open. We'll revisit in two weeks.

Note to Mike Aguilar: Glad you're back! I'm glad I'm back, too! Let's get together and trade Klein stories!

If you have a fake fbi badge, can you drive around town with your fake strobes flashing?

Gus, you should run surveillance on Sanderson's.

How much did channel 4 pay for those photos?

Anonymous said...

Hey Klein, KBTV did pay you for those pictures, right?

Hey it's another slow news day.

KBTV sucks up to anyone.

Well, we must give Nederland's ace detective credit: he has just solved the most heinous crime in the long, sordid history of Texas' most corrupt county. I sleep better at night knowing these criminals have been brought to justice.

Klein broke the video or else Channel 4 has the same person running their web site as the SETPR:

http://setxhomepage.com/content/video/?watch=1&cid=61721

He talks like he writes

""There's two things that come to mind. The first is what the citizens have been asking about the Beaumont ISD Police Department are they necessary? Plus, is it a waste of tax dollars?" Klein said."

KBTV started giving Klein credibility when KBTV started sparring with the Enterprise. One of their anchors feeds him stuff, from what I hear. Going along with him could really bite Ch. 4 in the butt someday...I hope they know they're playing with fire . . .

Anon 5:58,

What has KBTV got to lose?

Credibility?

Anonymous said...

Honestly! What credibility does ch. 4 have to lose?

I don't watch 4, too gayish for me. Angel with a milk dud stuck on his face. Didn't Klein publish some gayish pictures of Jim Walker when he first came to the area? Klein will be on cloud 9 for a year now that he was on the boob tube.

You people are missing the most important aspect of this entire scenario — Phillip Klein got it right. It may be only once. But he was spot-on this time and regardless your feelings for him or his obvious inadequacies, he kicked everyone's ass on this story. Congrats to him. He doesn't hit one out of the park often but this one was a homerun.

Some times a blind pig finds an acorn. So what? A cop gets reprimanded for driving to Nederland. So what? I mean really? So what? Did I say so what?

Anonymous said...

He may have been right, but the story doesn't have any real impact.

I wouldn't call the story a homerun. It's more like a base hit in the bottom of the ninth with no one on base, two outs, and he's trailing by 15 runs.

Did I say so what?

The "story" is really another example of filup's life purpose. He doesn't contribute anything meaningful to society, people with personality don't know how; rather he uses this story to bring attention to himself as an advocate of the taxpayer rooting out "corruption". But in the grand scheme of things, who cares? A simple call to the campus police chief with the information would have been adequate, but the manner in which he's brought this out is purely to draw attention to himself. No suprise. Maybe Sam The Eagle can present a dissertation on this.

"Congrats to him. He doesn't hit one out of the park often but this one was a homerun."

What horseshit. Klein busted a BISD cop for driving 15 (not 20) miles out of the district to get his oil changed. This is a "homerun?" I;m sure if he takes enough pictures at that intersection by his office, he can catch someone running the stop sign.

Repeat: what horseshit.

Did Philip confirm Ms. Gail's retirement yet?

It really is just a drop in the bucket, and just because he caught one cop, it really doesn't rise to the level of making Jefferson County "the most corrupt county in Texas" as he always says.
