Who's Dumber than a Fifth Grader?

Philip R. Klein again proves he's completely out of touch with mainstream politics in his article, "Huh?," on The Southeast Texas Political Review, when he accuse Judge Lupe Flores of campaign violations (emphases are mine):
So get this - a county court at law judge is going to run for re-election. So he gets some supporters to .... well write him a letter of support. So they do! And guess what? Well they violate election laws by using the seal of the County in an election ad that makes the letter look official. Don't believe us? Okay - here it is!
Philip includes a bad scan of the letter big enough to choke any dial-up connection. Philip repeats his point several times:
Is that Ed Shettle's signature on an illegal campaign letter? Huh?
Here's the punch line:
To be fair - we contacted a source close to Judge Flores who tells us that the letter was not supposed to have the seal on the letter and was a mistake.  And we think that is okay. It was a mistake - but for the Assistant DA of Jefferson County Texas????? Who is sworn to uphold the law and prosecute it - and have his name show up?
So who's dumber than a fifth grader: Ed Shettle or Philip R. Klein?

Answer: Klein, who is ignorant of campaign law in Texas. The use of the state and county seals by incumbents has been legal since Reconstruction. From Section 255.006 of the Texas Election Code:
A person other than an officeholder commits an offense if the person knowingly uses a representation of the state seal in political advertising.
So there is no confusion by the simple-minded who might accuse a sitting judge and incumbent of a Class A Misdemeanor, the Texas Election Commission put the issue in plain English:
Only officeholders may use the state seal in political advertising.
Likewise, Jefferson County has no limitations on the use of the county seal by an incumbent Judge. Philip is frequently confused, since he often titles his articles "Huh?"

To believe Philip R. Klein over some of the most influential and respected local attorneys and business leaders strains credulity. Is the fat detective truly this ignorant, or does this accusation of a campaign violation constitute a reckless disregard of the truth?

Let's see- Who has Klein pissed off in the last week? Judge Flores, Jeff Branick, both Judge Walkers, Tom Maness, Ed Shettle, Rhonda Dugas. I'm sure that I have forgotten somebody. Typical Klein. Invent lies on respected and successfull people because he never will be either of the two.
