Uh no (Busted Again)

Philip R. Klein wrote in his Monday article on the SET Political Review:
Through a TEA source - the Review has learned that the Memorial High School TAKS test grades were even if not down over a four year period.

For those of you in North Orange County - the new schools did not help the children's grades!

In the end - another liberal left wing fallacy is gone. Being new buildings do NOT increase kids school grades.
This argument is so abysmally obtuse that it deserves no comment, although it's highly representative of Philip's comprehension skills.

Instead, I thought we'd revisit another recent claim as promised on June 17, 2010:
The Southeast Texas Political Review has learned from a City of Beaumont source and an internal source at the BISD - that the new Carroll Thomas stadium may have serious structural problems and may be sinking into the ground.

Stop laughing - it is serious and we are too.

"There are some problems. I am not a liberty to discuss them - especially with you and your rag," said a source at the BISD.
Few people would refer to the SETPR as a "rag," but Philip R. Klein is one. According to Klein's "story behind the story,"the cost to fix the "sinking stadium:"
Ah yes.....folks.....we said a total of 2.5 million. And that as our source said is a drop in the bucket.
At the time, the Beaumont Enterprise and the rest of the media reported a potential cost of $1.1 million. I wrote: "Philip has misrepresented the facts: no one claimed that he lied concerning this particular story. In the case of Operation Kleinwatch, I did not comment because I couldn't conclusively prove Klein lied."

It's time to comment!  From Monday's Beaumont Enterprise:
Fixing the lumpy field at Beaumont ISD's Dr. Carrol A. "Butch" Thomas Educational Support Center is going to be considerably cheaper than the $1 million figure bandied about earlier this month, representatives of Parsons bond management firm said Monday.

In fact, it might even be cheaper than the $275,000 unhappy school board members allocated for the job on June 17, Ed Caillouette, Parsons program director, said.
Philip calls this political commentary, I call it symptoms one, four, six, seven, and nine.

More egg-on-the-face for KBTV (The Klein Channel): last week, their sports guy breathlessly shared PRK's prophesy of a $2.5 million fix for the stadium. Even gave full credit to Phil for breaking the story. Conclusion: Channel 4 and Klein richly deserve each other.
