Update: Two of Philip's Targets

David Bellow

David ran for the Hardin County Commissioners Court, but lost by only four percentage points. I suspect that the publicity Philip R. Klein gave David before the election contributed to his strong showing.
Right wing wonk and all around nut case David Bellow has thrown his hat in the ring for Hardin County Commissioner.
Klein misrepresented several documents as purported "evidence" of this claim:
David Below may have lied to the military regarding his current status as a "full time student" which may land him in jail - or better yet to the front lines in Iraq within "the next two weeks."
I documented this here, here, and here.  Lots of mudslinging from Philip R. Klein, but no substance at all - David is not in Iraq or jail, but he's still an active Republican where he represented Hardin County at the Texas Republican State Convention in Dallas last week:
The two-day convention, held every even-numbered year, will bring in about 12,000 delegates who will adopt a platform, select party leaders and hold training sessions for volunteers.
Those party leaders include the 62 members of the State Republican Executive Committee. One of the newest members
Hardin County’s own, David Bellow, was elected to serve as a member on the State Republican Executive Committee.
David will represent Senate District 3.  Apparently, the entire Republican Party of Texas is ignoring Philip R. Klein, too.
David Bellow is what is wrong with the party in case in point...Bellows in fact could hurt the party when he starts crying when he loses.

Why? H*** - we have no idea - but it cannot be good for the Hardin County GOP which will abort Bellow and welcome 10 or more democrats into the GOP on Wednesday

Kolby Flowers

Kolby Flowers, a Senior at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High, ran for a seat on the LC-M Board of Trustees during the May elections. Philip commented on Kolby's campaign:
...if he is elected to office - what does he bring to the table? Nothing but kids stuff. Like we all care about what kids think? They are there to learn. So learn.
Here's what happened, according to the Orange Leader
Rex Peveto claimed the Place 6 spot on the Little-Cypress-Mauriceville CISD board with 364 votes. Peveto defeated Kolby Flowers who got 196 votes while Kent Crow had 148 votes.
Philip offered some sound, though vapid, advice to Kolby. I've added my own for lagniappe.
  • Finish High School.
Avoid finishing in the bottom third of the class. Make sure you can read, write and do simple arithmetic well.
  • Enroll in College or Trade School. Run for student government and start to learn. Give back.
Avoid flunking out after two semesters because you couldn't read, write and do simple arithmetic.
  • Get a job - or better yet build a company and create job growth.
Avoid bankrupting six fast food restaurants and always respect your employer. For example, don't beat on ambulances when you have to go on a run 15 minutes before shift change.
  • Study up on the tax system - and how it can be run better.
Avoid focusing only on SBA loans and how to beat corporate tax liability.
  • Get some big league world experience and at least become a taxpayer.
Avoid turning bitter as you age, never make up things to hide your ignorance, and don't offer stupid advice to feed your own ego.

Always wear sunscreen.

That is priceless. Klein Says Bellow is done in the Republican party for good. Next thing you know Bellow is helping govern the Republican Party for the entire state! Including being personally in charge of the 16 counties in senate district 3. Klein was rejected from speaking at one county republican meeting. Bellow will be the guest speaker at 16 of them. haha!
